I too agree that it's very beautiful, though it's not so strange to me that someone might not appreciate this kind of aesthetics. With all that green colour and tubes, it looks like a some sci-fi bio-industrial hybrid, which is not everyone's cup of tea and probably doesn't go too well with most of the styles you'd find in a nice living-room.

A pity Nvidia was unable to drop in a couple of Fermi prototypes, though, as it's kind of a shame that such a special and eye-catching gaming PC is coming with arguably obsolete (though extremely powerful) graphics solution.

Mostly it's just the design of the case I find unappealing, it looks like a hollowed out air condition on wheels. I don't mind the lights and fans.

I think the case is cool, hardware is awesome, but the paint job could have been left undone........ It looks more like an airbrush artist's practice pad, than a finished product. I know green is their thing but it would look so much better black.

Well, If it was filled with red lights and AMD hardware I might look at it but its not. Still, I do like the Bio-look of it. Pretty cool

I think its an amazing build personally. I agree that intentionally weathering and wearing the surface via the paint is likely not for everyone--but what aesthetic is? Trying to please everyone is why we got beige PC's for all those years and now we always seem to get black. Great build, great cause, thanks to the companies that offered support and DB for building it. I will be bidding.

Thanks to those who offer kind words of support. I appreciate not everyone likes the aesthestics. It is rude to say another person's build is ugly though - I realize those have done so only did it since they have not seen me post here (I doubt folks here would be rude to a follow member). It is doubly rude to disrepect the hard work and generous donation of products and services by myself and the other project sponsors. I am so dedicated to the charity I am donating (to the Leukemia and Lymophoma Society) the $1500 CPU Magazine is giving me for allowing them to use the build on the cover of the January 2010 edition of CPU Magazine. I could have used the money to offset my costs but instead I want to remain true to the tone set by all the sponsors . . .that of wanting to give back.

Instead of flaming what you do not like about this charity project maybe each of you can go out and find some way to volunteer or give back in your own way. Give blood, register as a bone marrow donor, donate to the local food bank, just do something.

I think what you have done with this is fantastic as I said in the first post. You have my full support (for what its worth!).

It is marvellous to see such a giving and committed person in our community - such a wonderful cause.

Ya, my comment was probably a bit rude, I apologize for that. In my defense though, I treat my computer cases like my internal organs...I don't want to know what is going on in there and the lights and windows on this one make that impossible. This is usually why I vacuum out a bag of cat hair when cleaning my PC and probably will die at the age of 50. I wouldn't intentionally knock a modders work either, since the extend of my modding ability is taking off the side door to air it out.

Your taste is pefectly value bud. heck, one of my buddies (who is is one of the owners of Danger Den) does not like to see in cases either - and he designs acrylic cases which they sell). I can appreciate the cat hair vacuuming as well - my wife and I own a vet clinic. The rigs there always get hairballs
