Many rumours have been floating around today that IBM have killed the Cell Processor entirely. We spoke to an IBM spokesperson who denied this.

The cell has been very successful for the Ps3 for a very IMPORTANT reason.

It pretty much killed the piracy community for them. (At least for now)


But sometimes I wonder if that's why the PS3 hadn't sold very well, but then again it was very pricey, they are selling pretty quickly now that they are US $299.

funny I was thinking AMD would be involved myself maybe later too. nice quad core phenom in that would go down a treat.
