The geeks favourite browser FIREFOX is due to get a huge speed boost in the near future thanks to Direct2D support

IE is taking long strides and is catching up with the competition. It doesn't matter if FF 3.7 lands before IE9, for the first time in a decade, we've heard MS talking about implementing features no other browser has at the moment (and FF 3.7 is some time away itself as it's still in the alpha phase and even 3.6 hasn't come out of the beta yet). Until recently, IE was way behind the curve (until it got it's 8th release, it was nowhere close to passing even the Acid2 test), so it doesn't matter if they don't come out with a new feature first, the fact that they are getting to a similar level as the other players in the market is a huge success.

That said, congratulations are in order for the people behind Firefox, they are doing a great job and I'll try the 3.7 as soon as it hits beta stage.

Just gave it a quick test.. Works amazingly well! My CPU usage stayed really low and pages loaded in a flash. Can't wait for the full release

This is so cool! FIREFOX FTW!

Anyway, it's great to see GPU's are being used for more and more, I'm sure Intel are thrilled about this... :P

Yeah , they will try to speed labaree production

, I am using three browsers simultaneously Chrome mainly , Firefox then the least one IE 8 . It is a shame that Microsoft can't produce a browser that you can rely on till this time.
