Too bad for no vapor-x for the 5970, but I guess actually getting the cards would be helpful to move in such a direction.

I love Sapphire and their graphics solutions, that one reason I went out of my way to get myself a sapphire HD 4850, and so far not regretting it at all

You don't know. He didn't said there wouldn't be a HD5970 Vapor-X. He just said no plans to announce Special Editions. Maybe later

Well they have discussed they have been looking at a 5970 'Vapor X' but its not on the cards right now, especially with such limited stocks. Hopefully this will change in the future as that card (IMO) needs an overhaul.

ah good, the 5770 is getting the vapor-x treatment. pretty sure thats what ill be picking up for my new system. almost the exact same performance/price as the 4870, but run dx11 and runs cooler. seems like a no brainer there.

Don't forget it consumes less power. A huge amount less..

They make sexy cards, no doubt about that. The 5870 looks like it is begging to go to war.

Nice interview thanks for asking about the 5970 Vapor-X I am sure they want to sell their stock for the moment, then they will get a custom solution when supplies are great.
