crashing win2k
I recently re-installed win2k professional, and started recieveing the message: "INF error Video Driver not found" every time I tried to install a new video driver. I subsequently installed DHmod to repair the problem. I followed the instructions and it performed spectacularly: it successfully installed my driver on the first attempt. Then I recieved the warning that it would perform checks at startup, and they should take no more than a few minutes. The checks did not complete, and I was forced to reboot in safe mode to get it to boot at all.
I run an Dell inspiron 5100 Video card: Mobility 7500. Could somebody help me with this problem? (or tell me what they need to help with this problem.) I'm getting tired of 16-bit colors, and the resolution means I have to scroll side-to-side to read this message. Thanks guys, -Timetraveler |

Note: My system is booting normally now, but I had to uninstall the driver, so I've solved the big problem I created, leaving the smaller problem behind: I still need to know how to successfully install the video driver.
