I´have troubles with DHMODTOOL4.

WINDOWS ME with "newest " updates and on my laptop are installed : Framework 1.1, Framework 2.0, Languagepack DE for Framework 2.0, Compact Framework 2.0SP1, VBrun60sp5, MDACType-SP1, Script 5.6)
Linux-Mandriva-2007 and Windows ME are working fine on my brandnew PackardBell EASYNOTE MV35, ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M wit shared 256Mbyte HyperMemory (For that Ineed urgently DHMOD to working this Graphic-Card on my Windows Millennium. Under Linux-Mandriva 2007 the Graphic-Card works good with the original proprietary ATI-Linux-Driver)

I´start DMODTOOL4, but is not working
After the start is coming the Message from Microsoft.net Framwork:
Unbehandelte Ausnahme in der Anwendung. Klicken Sie auf weiter, um den Fehler zu ignorieren und die Anwendung fortzusetzen. Wenn Sie auf "Beenden" klicken, wird die Anwendung sofort beendet.

Um das JIT-Debuggen (Just-In-Time) zu aktivieren, muss in der
Konfigurationsdatei der Anwendung oder des Computers
(machine.config) der jitDebugging-Wert im Abschnitt system.windows.forms festgelegt werden.
Die Anwendung muss mit aktiviertem Debuggen kompiliert werden.

Zum Beispiel:

</configuration>

Wenn das JIT-Debuggen aktiviert ist, werden alle nicht behandelten
Ausnahmen an den JIT-Debugger gesendet, der auf dem
Computer registriert ist, und nicht in diesem Dialogfeld behandelt.


Now I´m fill the text jitDebugging="true" into mashine.config

I´m restart DMODTOOL4, the message from Microsoft.net Framework is coming once more, and Im click on "weiter(continue)"

Than coming the message: DMODTOOL4.EXE - Programmfehler
Die Anwendung hat einen Ausnahmefehler generiert, der nicht verarbeitet werden konnte.
Prozess-ID=xffe15271 (-2010511), Thread-ID=0xffe34b51 (-1881263)"
Klicken Sie auf "OK", um die Anwendung zu benden, oder auf "Abbrechen", um sie zu debuggen

I´m click on "Abbrechen (I do nit now, how is in english, may be, dissmiss, interrupt or stop)", to start the debugging.
Now coming the message:
"Es wurde kein JIT-Debugger angegeben. Klicken Sie auf "Wiederholen" um den Prozess in den Wartestand zu setzen, wärend Sie einen Debugger manuell anhügen. Klicken Sie auf "Abbrechen", um die JIT-Debuganforderung abbzubrechen"

By click on "Wiederholen (once more)" to start ... and is DHMODTOOL4 freeze or click on "Abbrechen" DHMODTOOL4 is closed.

Can I´get help from here in forum

Hi Yvonne, i'm sorry it took so long to reply.
Thanks for all the information.
The problem is that you are using windows ME.
The modtool only works for windows XP and windows 2000.

(oh and your english is better than my german! )
