Could really use help solving this problem

Hi, Im not a complete newbie: i have used modtools 3 successfully on XP professional. Now i have vista; the problem started when windows secretly installed ati drivers automatically

. Now my display is messed up because my video card is not supposed to be compatible with my computer.

Anyway, I want to install the brand new Radeon 9600 drivers for vista with modtools 4. I know what im doing, at least i thought i did until i got this error message: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application".

I tried running Modtools 4 in different folders within C:\ATI\SUPPORT and received this error: "An older set of catalyst drivers has been detected in the ATI\SUPPORT folder, please remove the ATI folder and start again".

I also tried to reinstall the older drivers, but that failed to, i think it ended in a runtime error, then i noticed that the icons were mysteriously spread a part on my desktop; this is annoying to me and i want to destroy computers, especially mine, computers are not my friends.
I would tremendously appreciate any help, i have spent hours trying to fix this.

Maybe there will be a modtools for vista? or there is another website i can go to?
