Driver Cleaner 1.1 ?
Could someone tell me how to get this program started? I downloaded, ran the DC setup and then clicked on the filing cabinet, clicked on the Nvidia folder with the hourglass on it and the window asking where I want to extract items from appears! What do I click next? Im trying to remove all traces of Nvidia from my system prior to a new 9700 pro card and the omega drivers. Exactly how do you get started, the readme file is a little vague. The file I downloaded was titled DC_11Setup Thanks for any help!

firstly extract the zip file. install the setup.exe
go to start menu/programs/driver cleaner/drivercleaner. run application then select ATI or NVIDIA (NVIDIA in your case) and press clean. |

Say! Thank you Zardon very much, and forgive me for my ignorance! Hopefully the program will now remove all traces of my nvidia components, so I`ll have a clean install of the 9700 pro card and it`s drivers!

Spike I ran your DC program and it works great. The only question I have is after the prompt appears and says cleaning finished, in the window with all the files in red and the heading in front of each says File not found: Is this the normal display depicting everything that the program actually removed?

That is np the program does a lot more than you see. In the help file you can read about that message. I explained there somethings about that.

Spike, thanks for the help, and your program did indeed remove all traces of the nvidia components that appear would possibly cause a conflict with a new card. Another guy here in the forums suggested that I may also need to do a fresh install format of windows xp before I install and D\L the ATI omega drivers, but with your program doing such a fine cleansing of prior nv components, it appears I really would not need to do a fresh re-format! What do you think?

Nope you don't need to format. I heard from people that with using my program they did not had any conflicts with the ati drivers and that everything runs like with a clean install.

Thanks for the answer Spike, and again I personally do not know of another program that does as good a job as yours, with just one simple click! All the others that I`ve seen requires manual selection and deleting by the user, which so often causes problems due to folks either deleting a file they should not have, or simply overlooking one, and thus wind up with a host of conflicts!
