exclamation Asus W3J - X1600 512mb (Hypermemory)

Hi

I ran DriveCleaner as per instructions and removed everything on my current system to do with ATI.

I downloaded the 7.4 drivers and have tried to mod them using Mobility Modder. The program runs fine and tells me that the files are modified.

When I go to run the modified files from the ATI\Support\ folder the setup runs then tells me 'Setup did not find a driver compatible with your current system'.

Can anyone pls help - I can always go back to the 7.1 Omega Drivers but I'd like to install the new 7.4 drivers if at all possible.

I've just noticed that the Mobility Modder help file says

'The current modification only works on Vista drivers'. I assume this is my problem?

Arse! What are my options for getting the new 7.4 drivers to work in XP?

Thanks

Hi,

the new mobility modder is indeed only for Vista. For xp you could try the old ModTool from Patje. You can get that also from a link on the Mobility Modder page.

Thanks mate - yep I realised that! Used v4 tool and it seemed to work - but I couldn't adjust my display properties to output at 1280x720 so I uninstalled and went to 7.3 version of NGO driver. That installed no probs with the ability to use HD resolutions. Weird.

I can't understand why there is no support for HD resolutions in the 7.4 drivers... oh well I'll wait

Cheers
