61 Hz ???????

Yesterday I've finally sucseeded in installing 7.4 Catalyst on my Vista OS. The new problem - it has forced my laptop display in 61 hz. The screen is horrible, it causes my head to hurt when I read something on the bright layout. I'v already tryed to reduce brightness and contrast, but it isn't the same. Tryed also power strip.
Is there any way to force my display to 60hz like I had in XP? Could it be the driver? Before I installed Catalyst, it showed 60hz. Maybe an older version?
Help!!!
