DC-P Microphone Problem

I used Driver Cleaner Pro on my "Soundmax Integrated Digital Audio" then when i reboot my computer, i cannot speak out of my microphone, the microphone does work on other computers. I check volume, mute, everything.

I reinstall the Soundmax drivers but still cannot speak through my microphone.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

did you first uninstall the drivers through add/remove and then run Driver Cleaner in safe mode?

Can you send me the log files from the Log folder in the Driver Cleaner directory? send them to info@drivercleaner.net

With the log files i can see what it cleaned and see more.

I did not and i did not run driver cleaner in safe mode

and i uninstalled driver cleaner not to long afterwards, so the log files are actually gone, later i did it again actually following the instructions and reinstalling the drivers but my mic still did not work -_-

Hmm it is difficult now, because the drivers were not uninstalled first.

The best you can do is use windows restore to go back the day orso before you used driver cleaner or do a windows repair install that could also fix it.

The problems happen when you don't uninstall the driver first. It is explained in the steps. You really need to follow that.

how do i do a "windows repair install"?

To do a windows repair install:

Boot your system with the windows cd.
You will then come in the windows setup welcome screen. Press enter to setup windows (DO NOT press R). Then accept the license and then windows will search for installs. Select your windows and press R now windows will start the repair install. After this it will look like installing a clean windows, but it will only fix things.
