yes you just rollback the driver in the operating system.

The driver installed correctly, i`ve tried catalysts 7.1, 7.3, 7.5 and 7.8 - on each version problem is the same. About prior revision - i didnt try it, dunno what it is

Whenever I install ATI drivers (7.5) using your modtool, I end up with about 30+ resolutions available for my screen, but only 5 or so are compatible. This becomes especially problematic when changing resolutions in a PC game. Normally I would use the "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" checkbox to resolve this, but I can't access it (it's greyed out) after installing drivers modified with your tool. I also end up with two "Default Monitors" and one "Generic Television" being listed under the "Monitor" tab for my graphics card.

Do you know of a fix/work around? At the moment I've fallen back to using patje's DHModToolv4.

Hi friends!!

I have installed the catalyst 7.9 drivers and everything seems to be ok but, I can not open games or something that uses direct 3D. I have opened dxdiag and direct3d and directdraw are not enabled and I can not enable them. I have to uninstall everything and back to the old driver.

I dxdiag window there was and error that says something about WHQL. Also, in catalyst control center the tree about graphic settings does not exist. I think this is about that direct 3d is not enabled... I don't know...

Please some help friends!! Thanks in advance!!

Hello , I have an ASUS F3SE with ATI X2500 video card. I installed XP on the system and all the hardware works fine other than the video card. I was using omega drivers but i have been experiencing so many problems so wanted to give this tool a try. I have installed the said XML pack, Uninstalled the Omega drivers Modded the downloaded XP Catalyst drivers without problem When i start setup to install the modded driver pack the system says it cannot find a driver matching my hardware or my OS. What can be the cause? Thanks in advance

I have a pentium IV 3.2 ghz
1280 mb RAM
and the graphic card that you know...

Hey, did AMD/ATI update their catalyst driver for the integrated cards? I'm using a Radeon Xpress 200m.

A while back, you tried to support that but didn't realize there were 2 or 3 different versions of it, so you made a quick fix and sent it to a couple of us...that worked like a charm. Now I'm trying the version on the website, and that doesn't work. I tried applying your quick fix from before and it didn't work either.

The driver install program eventually tells me that there are no compatible devices, then exits.

Suggestions?

Hello,

I was so happy when I had found this site with the driver update solution for my notebook, but then.... it doesn't work for me. I followed the exact instruction for installing the mobility modding driver, I turn off UAC, I install the driver under Vista, but after the installation, at the screen flickering stage, the screen turns darker and it remains so even after the system restart. That's it, no errors, no warnings (aside from that with the unknown publisher), nothing, only a darker screen (it's clear that it is darker, because the white is no longer white, it's almost gray). And I tried to turn up the brightness, but it was already at full level. And I tried the both last versions of the driver (7.8 and 7.9), same issue. And, by the way, I didn't see any improvement in the Vista graphic card rating, before with the Vista default driver it was 3.6, and after the install and rating update it remained the same. Does this means anything?
My notebook is a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pi 1536, Core2Duo 1,66 GHz, ATI X1400 128 VRAM, HDD 120GB, TFT LCD 15,4 inch.
Does anyone know anything about this problem? Thanks.

PS: don't buy FS notebook, those motherf**ers don't give a s**t on customers problems, so far they didn't answer me about two problems I had, and of course, this driver issue. I am using now a 1 year-old driver and for them it seems it's ok. Should have bought Dell, damn.

Mobility has always worked for me besides external monitor out or duel moniter support.

It makes it a real drag not being able to externally display Video.

I have a Sony Vaio with a X600 Radeon.

I thank you for your support and hope you add more than primary internal display support.

Hi Spike, Thanks for helping out. I tried the drivers available at http://www.driverheavendownloads.net..._enu_50960.exe tried both 7.8 and 7.6 drivers. I am quite a n00b so i dont know how to see the hardware id of the mobility chipset . Omega drivers recognize it as RV530 SE and Mobility Radeon X1700 (0X71DE) but ASUS says its a X2500. Thanks

A note.. ATI catalyst 7.9 drivers installed on my laptop with out any problems and are available for download from ATI site without restrictions. It recognized my X2500 as X1700 which seems to be the same card.

beleg the x1700 and x2500 are the same just new name and maybe the x2500 has better hardware speeds for the core and memory.

simplechamp i think it will be out in 1 or 2 weeks. At the moment i am really busy sorry.

mobility M6 Owner the only drivers you can use are the XP drivers, because the hardware can't handle the new WDDM drivers for vista.
