Mobility Modder ATI X1600 issues

i successfully modded and installed catalyst 7.1 for my Acer Travelmate 8204 w/ ATI X1600. It seems to be glitchy though. My screen flashes occasionally. I am about to try Company of Heroes and see what happens. Wish me luck.

Any help is much appreciated.

ok just tried coh and seems to be fine. i have another question. dxdiag says my video driver is 6.14 which is my old one. is this supposed to say 7.11? how can i confirm that i am at 7.11 now?

Hi there and Welcome to DriverHeaven!

Best way to see it is from Catalyst Control Center.

hey, thanks for the warm welcome.

i chose not to install catalyst control center because i didnt want another thing for my notebook to load on startup.

any ideas on the flashing? it's like real fast flashing for about 1 minute, then it's fine for awhile. seems random. i didnt have this problem with my old manufacturer drivers.
