Catalyst not found...

Hi. I'm trying to install ATI drivers on an ASUS X53Sa notebook, mounting an ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600. I downloaded the latest Catalyst package available for the Radeon HD2600 under WindowsXP, the 7.12 version. I modded it and installed, but I can't find the Catalyst control panel anywere. It looks like it was installed, but under the installation folder I only see an install.inf file. Even if I run the Catalyst installer again and click the "Modify" option, it says that Catalyst is installed but it takes 0 bytes of drive space.

How can I fix this? Thank you so much!

uhm make sure that MSXML 4.0 is installed else the mod program can't modify the msi files. I would also try to uninstall the driver and control panel and then reinstall them and see if that helps.

Thanks, but I already did all that... Plus, the video driver is working perfectly, but the Control Center is not being installed... I don't know what to do...

I have no idea why the Control Panel won't install. I will look into it and see if i can find anything.

Thank you so much. I'll probably format my laptop in a few days, so I'll check if the problem persists...

Thanks again!

I formatted my notebook and installed the 7.11 Catalyst drivers, and this time it worked and the Control Center installed correctly, so the problem is probably from the 7.12 version.

ATI x1400 - Catalyst Control Center - Systray

hi everyone,

My laptop is a Toshiba, A100-626, Intel CPU T2400 @ 1.83GHz, 1GB RAM, and my graphics are powered by ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1400. OS: XP, SP2.

What I had before installing the Mod:
-ATI Display driver (from Toshiba): v. 8.2, Sep 07.

What I did:
-followed the "Mobility Modder on XP" guide.
-Installed Mobility Modder (including MSXML 4.0 from Microsoft)
-rebooted it!!!

Problems:
-ATI systray icon does not show anymore.
-ATI Catalyst Control Center folder on C:Program Files, only shows "install.ini" file, and it is not installed (although it shows on control panel)
-if this is unexpected how can I uninstall the Mod correctly and have the previous driver (8.2) back as it was?

thanks in advance.

Just uninstall all the ati entries from the add/remove and then reinstall the old driver. Then the old driver should be installed.
