Problem with ATI HD 3470 [on ASUS M51SE-AP042C]

Hello, I recently brough an ASUS M51Se and I tried to install XP. I find almost all drivers but I have a "little" problem with the Video Card. I tried the Mobility Modder with Catalyst 8.4 but setup says that It can't find the hardware.. On the Hardware list there isnt any Video Card. There's only the VgaSave so I can't force the drivers manually... Is there anyone that know how to solve this problem? Why no Video Card with a "?" is show?? (BTW On Vista everything works correctly..)

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!

The mod tool should support the mobility HD 3470 chip. What ATI drivers you are trying to mod? The desktop catalyst drivers?

salve mi aiutate ad installare i driver ati mobility hd 3470sul mio asus m51se da vista a xp. ho gia scaricato mobility modder ma non riesco ad installare i driver mi da errore anche dopo averli moddati elp!

darknanox can you check the device id of your mobility card?

Your problem is 4GB RAM. Remove 2GB and you will be able to install your HD 3470. If you have 4GB RAM installed you have a problem with Mobile Intel PM965 PCI Express Root Port - 2A01.

I have 3 gb ram installed and the same problem with the chipset. Sure it's ram?

yep, the only solution i find out is to remove 2GB of RAM... tried to force the detection of 2GB with the 2 Rams inside but not working..
