Mobility Radeon 2600 OpenGL-Mod Bug in DH-Modtool?

Hi!
I think i found a Bug in your Tool. It's there since 0.8.8.0 or so.
When i mod the Catalyst drivers for my HD2600 the OpenGL Renderer switches to the default MS-Renderer (i.e. Software).

This is caused by the following Lines in the .inf File:

Section [ati2mtag_M76]
...atiorcaWS_OpenGLSoftwareSettings...
(should probably be "..., atioglxx_OpenGLSoftwareSettings,...")

and Section [ati2mtag_M76.SoftwareSettings]
AddReg = atiorcaWS_OpenGLSoftwareSettings
(should probably be "AddReg = atioglxx_OpenGLSoftwareSettings")

After changing the Lines to their probably right Settings OpenGL works magically accelerated. =)

Thanx for reporting this NemesisTN. Will look into the program to see if there is a way to get those lines from the drivers. The problem is that ATI changes that name sometimes.

That Workaround works since Cat 7.10.

I think it should be "atiorca_OpenGLSoftwareSettings", just looked in the original .inf...

Hi ... i got the same problem (ati radeon hd2600xt with modded catalyst but without opengl hardware acceleration).

Wheres the ini file i have to edit? I cant find it ^^

It is an inf file in the driver directory. It starts with CX, CA, CL or CH. Most times it is in either of these folders.

Windows XP Driver = C:\ATI\SUPPORT\"Driver Version"\Driver\2KXP_INF or XP_INF or XP6A_INF
Windows Vista Driver = C:\ATI\SUPPORT\"Driver Version"\Packages\Drivers\Display\LH_INF or LH6A_INF
