Can you push a 64MB Radeon Mobility 9200 to 128MB? ...Pleeez
Is there any way to up the memory allocation of this card which only has 64MB shared memory and no on board memory? Could the Mobility Modder crew work on something like that?

that is a hardware limitation, if not a bios limitation. You'd have to ask for your manufacturer to allow the bios to grant access to more memory.
No Driver solution that i'm aware of could get around this why do you need 128mb?

I wonder if the guys at Fujitsu-Siemens would even respond to me with my 4 year old laptop, they havent even updated the drivers since 2004. Do you know anyone who builds custom bios?
I'm trying to run Solidworks 2008, but it runs very slowly and often crashes every 30 minutes. My laptop ran 2007 without any problems, except maybe a crash or freeze once a week. I ran 2007 with 1 GB memory, today I added another 512 MB ram (while I wait for another 1 GB memory module), and now 2008 doesn't run out of physical memory, so I think the graphic memory is the big problem. I'll probably have to spring for an HP 8510W just to run Solidworks. |

yeah you might be looking at that as your only solution...
modifiing bioses is not an easy task at all.. specially for a specific model...
