Yeah, it's in the "stock" driver. Well by that I meant the driver that came with the laptop. I have a Acer 8920G with 9650M GS. If you're interested in looking at this driver, it can be found on acer's driver pages (both NA and EU I believe)

I updated to the latest drivers using the latest tool on my NVS Quadro 110M on a Toshiba Tecra M7, and video especially is quite laggy. I then updated on Windows Update to the 8/31/08 driver. Keep in mind I did all this without cleaning out each set of earlier drivers. Video performance, especially full screen, high quality Move Networks or YouTube is very laggy, especially on Battery/PowerMizer.

Did anyone else have similar experiences? When I get the chance I will clean out my drivers, go back to Toshiba's recommended ones, test video, then switch to the latest Windows Update ones, test video, then switch to the modded ones, with and without the Mobility and Quadro enhancements.

Wow, if anyone could save me a bit of hassle, that would be awesome.

Public Beta 2 has support for the 9600M GT, but unfortunately not for whatever special version Apple/NVIDIA have put in to the latest MacBook Pros. Here are the relevant lines I had to add (after running the tool) to allow the drivers to install on this Late 2008 MacBook Pro (2.4 GHz, 9600M GT with 256 MB VRAM):

Hi all, has anyone gotten the newest Nvidia Drivers to work on the MacBook Pro (Late 2008) under Vista 64?

If so, could you post the correct strings here, I cannot get the ones below to work.

Successfully modded FW 178.24 with MM v0.4.0.0. Everything run fine and very fast. Just for a GeForce Go 6150, so no high performance, but coming directly from 2006/08 drivers the difference is very noticeable. I get the Very Satisfied User logo:

Used on a Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q705 gaming laptop with nVidia GeForce 9700M GTS video and nVidia ForceWare 180.48 drivers. Installed perfectly and have had no problems at all. Thanks DriverHeaven!

EDIT: This was the 64-bit version of the drivers, installed into Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium.

Can this software be used to "unlock the overclocking lock" in the nvidia drivers? Only nVidia 169.04 drivers allow overclocking of laptop GPUs and they are getting pretty old...

Wolfheart, i don't know if the overclocking lock is removed or not. I never tested that. Can you tell how you normally test it?

The latest beta is still not able to update the Unibody Macbook pro's nvidia drivers. I had to manually update the ini file still with some information i found elsewhere and only then did it work.

hi guys!i have been walking around for a long time looking for an app like this,so i was very happy.but when i modified them it wasnt ok.it was installing and then asked to reboot,but after reboot no drivers were installed.is something wrong?my videocard is 8400 gs.i have to reboot after modyfiing?thanks anyway

Hello all, im currently having a problem installing newer drivers (180+) on my 8600M and I think this is the ticket. So I tried adding that, but must have did it wrong because it still didn't work. Any idea of what I would add differently for XP? I took out the substring thing and added it to nvidia.mfg instead of x86v6 so on... any help would be appreciated.

Hi.
I just received a Dell E6500.
It has the Nvidia Quadro NVS 160M.
I do the following.
I download the latest Nvidia Desktop Drivers 182.08 and run the Mobility Modder on the extracted Driver.
When I try to install the driver on my laptop it doesn't want to install.

Am I doing something wrong?
