Mobility Modder with catalyst 8.8

Hi,
I have used the mobility modder before, everytime successfully, the last driver i have installed was the 8.5. Now i wanted to update to 8.8, so i downloaded the 8.8 and also the new mobility modder from july. I did everything just like with the 8.5 but the installation says ists finished after installing the installations manager, so it doesnt come to the driver or the ccc.
So does anyone alredy have experience with the 8.8 does it work with the current modder or will there be a new one?
Her some informations about my hardware anf software:
One notebook
c2d e8400
4gb ddr2 667 ram from samsung
radeon hd 2600xt
windows vitsa hp with sp1

O.K. I have solved the problem, I downloaded the driver from a german hardware site and they linked wrong, so I got the 64 bit driver, named as 32 bit, which I really needed. The 32 bit from ati site made its job, so you can close.
