m51Ta - radeon mobility HD 3650

hi.
i've searched the forum and spent a good amount of time looking around, here and other places (notably notebookrevew.com) and have had no luck.
i own an ASUS M51Ta. it came with vista home premium pre installed. i dont want to deal with vista, so i have installed XP on a seperate partition. i was able to reuse or find xp replacements for most of the vista drivers provided. the only trouble i get is with the video card driver.
it is a radeon mobility HD 3650 with 512 mb vRAM. i am able to install the latest ATI drivers, but when i restart the computer the screen is black. windows is running as i can restart the computer using the keyboard, but nothing is displayed. after uninstalling in safe mode i looked around and came across mobility modder; thinking this would solve my problem i tried it and the same thing happens.
i've tried many things, from using the vista driver setup utility, to attempting to use the XP setup utility to install the vista data.

if anyone has any suggestions, i would be much appreciative.

note: the vista 32bit and 64 bit drivers both work properly.

where I cant have the instal of ATI mobility radeon 3650 ?

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. I bought M51Ta and don't want Vista. Where did you get the other drivers? Thanks!
I'll keep on searching, if I found something I'll let you know.

I have found something interesting, but I didn't have the time to test it:

AMD Game Forums - 9.4 driver for XP ati mobility HD2xxx, HD3xxx, HD4xxx. 100% working

If I try it I will post it.
