Problems with Mobilty Modder on mobility radeon 9200

Hi all, I'm new around here! Thx and congraz for the hard work with the program ATI Mobility Modder... the idea is great!

But I've got a problem with my old notebook... it has a Mobility Radeon 9200, I tried to mod lastest ati 8.9 drivers and all seemed ok, but the problem is when I install:

During the install, when the "Hardware Installation" window appears (the one that tells the drivers are not compatible and certified blabla), in that windows is written "ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000" O.O

I tried to continue the installation but on the reboot of my pc, It was quite exploding lol! I saw 2 desktop and stripes of color... o.O never seen!

I hope I was clear, I wrote fast i'm going out.. I'll check later and thx for help!

Hi there!

I would recommend you to try to install a bit older drivers. Since the newest drivers don't really have improvements for 9000 series of RADEON cards.

I tried Catalyst 7.2 and 7.9 and like before... Mod seemed to work perfectly, but during the install appears "ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000" but I have a 9200! :S
How can I fix this issue?

P.S. That's the screen, is in my own language (italian) but it's to make easier understanding of wich window I was talking about before:

If you get that just click continue. The issue that the card is miss identified is like a "typo" in the driver .inf files. It's not serious.

Yes... I continued! But with the cata 8.9, after install and reboot I saw 2 desktop overlapped, full of colored stripes... unwatchable! :S

Instead with the 7.2 I saw my desktop all black with a big white stripe on the middle... I had to shut down and go on provissory modality and uninstall the drivers! :/

So I thought it was a problem of that issue (the 'ati radeon 9000' thing)

Hi there, I get the same error, my post is here http://www.hardwareheaven.com/driverhe...ss-1100-a.html. Instead of installing ATI Radeon xpress 1100 drivers, it installs ATI Radeon Xpress 200m. I also tryed with different catalysts versions, 7.12 and 8.4 and 8.9

the only thing is I don't see coloured stripes or smth like that, but the performance goes down and I can feel the problem with driver when the games loads longer than before=)

GOT IT AT LAST! You have to use version 5.6 of Catalyst maximum to work on your NX7000. No stripes, still "9000" instead of "9200" but it runs fine indeed
