cannont install the ati grafic driver on vista 32

On mistake I deinstalled the grafic driver for the Radeon mobility X2300. Now I use the standard driver from microsoft.
I downloaded the ATI driver from this side and tried to mod it as described here. [COLOR=#7385b8]http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool.php[/COLOR]
I guess I've done everything right, but when I execute the setup. I get the following mistake:
ERROR! Can't initialize plug-ins directory. Please try again later.

What can I do to run my ATI driver?

I also downloaded the driver from ASUS, I could install the catalyst, but and the report the installation for the ati driver failed.
I tried to install the driver with and without modding the files.

PLEASE HELP!

Hi there!

First I got few questions what OS you are using and what laptop is in question?
Can you uninstall all the driver related stuff in the control panel to make sure that they are all gone and then try to reinstall the driver from Asus.

Hi.
I use Vista 32 Bit. The laptop is a ASUS F3Jr.
I tried to deinstall all the ATI related stuff in the control panel. When I start to install the driver from asus ( I got the driver here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-)
The installation of the Catalist works fine, but in the protokoll it says, that the installation for the ati driver failed.

Try to re install the mobility modder.net and remember that the UAC must be disabled in order it to work.

Then download these drivers AMD GAME Drivers & Tools from AMD and use the mobility modder to mod them.

Now I tried, what you told me.
The UAC was disabled. And I used the reinstalled mobility modder to mod the downloaded file. But I got the same mistake: ERROR! Can't initialize plug-ins directory. Please try again later.
I tried to deinstall all parts of ati, but at the deinstallation the catalyst said that there is a serious mistake with the installation, so there are still some things on the laptop. I tried to delete the rest of ATI with regedit... but still there is something.
After one try, the laptop didn't reboot correctly and the desctop stopped with the asus sign. So I shut down the computer and started it again.
The ati grafic card is still not working.

Can you post the log file that is located in the mobility modders log folder. It would give more information about this issue and it's causes.
