ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 Mobility modder advice
Hi there,
this is my first thread in the DH forums. I would like some advice on Modding the ATi Mobility Radeon X1400 v 12 driver with Mobilty Modder. It gives me a window saying something about it harming my computer or something when i run it after modding. I know i should press carry on but i just wanted to make sure that it woldn't do anything irreversible to my graphics card. I am using a Acer Aspure 5670. Any other info i will gladly give. Oh and i am running on a omega driver at the moment! Thanks |

Re: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 Mobility modder advice
I belive that ATI had removed some of the card support from 9.2 and also modified the format inside the inf.....even you tried to run the ATI mod, it shows success but it actually didn't work that way.
I had it work by adding the model in the inf file I downloaded from ATI and it work for my T60 mobility x1400, steps as following. 1. Download the driver only version from ATI, it will gives you the driver for inf under package folder. 2. Run the ATI mod, it will add some models the beinging of the inf file, find your model here... 3. Scroll down to [ATI.Mfg.NTx86.6.0], you can find series of supported model for 9.2 but you can't find X1400 here...so 4. add following "ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1400" = ati2mtag_RV370, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_7145 - you may also add other model as you want here 5. run the setup again, it should allow you to install and update .... P.S Filename for the inf file I use is CL_75976.inf (32-bit version) |

Re: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 Mobility modder advice
I think NCmad is referring to the MS message you get about it not being one of their WHQL approved drivers. This is to be expected because it's not. Just choose install anyway. This is mentioned BTW in the MM instructions!
