Yes finally managed it. Not sure that all these steps required but this worked:

Unpack & mod with MM 1.1.2.0. Change all ref NTamd64.6.1 to NTamd64.6.0 in C7_xxxx & CH_xxxx. Add full device/vendor id to CH_xxxx using ati2mtag_M72 & removing other HD3450 & HD3470 refs. Add full device/vendor id to C7_xxxx using ati2mtag_RV610. Install from Device Manager - select update driver - manual selection & point to update files.

This will only work if previous driver displays with HD3470 as device name under Device Manager i.e. if generic MS drivers installed with "HD 3400 series" device name then it wont.

My working setup.

Dell Studio 1537
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450
Windows Server 2008 x64

Followed instructions given in package and it is working

Thanks Ozzie, got driver installed, unsigned at this point but should hold me over until AMD gets their end figured out...
Windows Experience index went from 1.0 without driver to 3.7/3.6 with driver forced for x1300 mobility card to 4.1/3.7 for CCC Drivers (my x1400 mobility). That is great for an older card, I think...

everything was going fine until i read that last sentence of yours. I have the generic MS drivers, now what do i do?

Hello. Is there any complete "how to" - how i cann install Ati drivers in Windows 7 32 bit? Because there so many instuctions that now i am only confused. I have ati x1800 on alienware 5750. And no of these instructions are working for me or something i doing wrong. Only catalist is working but driver is the same from 1.12.2008. Cann somebody send me pm or write down what is working for ati x1xxx cards ?

follow these instructions, Install by going to device manager -> right click on your display adapter -> select "update driver software" -> select "browse my computer for driver software -> select "let me pick from a list...." -> select "have disk" -> select "browse" -> browse to the folder where your device drivers are located and start at the top, keep selecting inf files until you see the device you want ie, 3870

this is the problem i had too. Ever since 9.2 or so everything's turned into a mess. The original instructions dont work any more but yet they keep them there. This can be very confusing fo new comers.

thanks for your efforts man, however i've successfully installed the beta drivers from ati's website without modding anyway so i think i'll stick with these. I hope ati continues to support my series of cards like now but seeing as its mobility im a little doubtful...

anyway thanks for the tips...

btw. 9.1 works..

i am having the same problem i have mobility hd 4650
and for me v9.1 doesnt work either

i have Acer Aspire 8935G with Ati mobility 4670 and this utility is not working with catalyst 9.12 everytime i tryed instal it always showing me that drivers are not compatible with my graphic card

I attempted to use MModer for Catalyst 10.10 but it doesn't work. Program tell that "driver modification finished" in fact - nothing hapend...

yes u rite i done to 10.10 and mooding it but just passing away nothing modify

thats why the CCC not show up.

By the way i usually path display driver to x200m which my xp said not work . Do u think i better path it 1st to x1100 driver OEM then starting use to install the ati mod or ? vice versa or ? i dont know

by the way i can not setup any ram to use shared from 9.12 to 10.5 CCC
