ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M IGP -- CCC not running

I have a Compaq Presario V5305WM laptop computer
that uses the ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M IGP
video.

I'm trying to get dual monitor support enabled in Vista,
so I tried installing the latest ATI catalyst drivers, but
it wouldn't install the CCC (Catalyst control center)

after doing google searches trying to figure out WHY,
I came across this site for the DH Mobility Modder.

After applying this DH Mobility Modder, and running the driver
software again, Catalyst Control Center did install, but after
a reboot and everything, the Catalyst Control Center won't run.
It won't come up at all

any suggestions?

because all I'm trying to do is enable Dual Monitor mode in Windows Vista,
so I was told that option is in the Catalyst Control Center.

My problem is, the second monitor will show up, but I'm trying to get the second monitor to show up in Clone view, instead of Span view, which is whats happening now, the second monitor is showing up in span view instead of CLone,

and its frustrating me to no end!!!
