Mobility Modder problem with X1600 on Asus ASmobile laptop

As of late I have been having issues with my video card driver, textures in games turning black, and randomly offsetting, HUDs completely skewing off in random directions, etc.

I decided it was time to update my ATI mobility X1600 driver from 8.12 to the 9.2 version. I downloaded the driver, extracted it to it's proper location, ran the modder (with the 9.2 fix) and the driver seemed to be modded properly.

I tried to run the setup for the driver, and was given an error stating that a compatible driver could not be found for my hardware or operating system. The driver appears to work, but the CCC refuses to install.

If it helps, my vendor ID for the ATI chipset is 1002, and 71c5 is my device ID
