Since notebooks with 4870 and 4870X2 are announced and will be available very soon when can we expect support for those mobile graphics cards?

As always it'll probably be up to the manufacturer for driver support, and you will have to use the mobile mods to incorporate desktop -> mobile support.

Just don't ask a date, I am sure it will be supported. but they probably need to see the IDs of the cards before they can include any type of support...
