Any fixes for 9.3 CCC yet?
Hi I've just installed CCC 9.3 modded it and used that other file that Spike put as sticky. Eveything installs fine but when I restart it come up with an error with something about CCC control interface. Just wondering if there are any fixes for this yet as I have seen some other people raising this issue. I have a x1700 xp-32 bit
Thanks |

Re: Any fixes for 9.3 CCC yet?
Thanks for the reply.
I think for that thread the guy couldn't even install 9.3? I could install the drivers but CCC interface won't work anymore with an error about CCC command interface thing is this the same prob with the other thread? Are you saying then to use mobility version drivers/CCC and install them seperately? The problem I see is that for my laptop I can't use the desktop version because they always crash my computer and are unstable so I have to download the mobility versions (which don't offer the different dll options of CCC+drivers or just drivers) so I have to dl the whole package together. If what you say is true though couldn't I just manually mod the drivers and install them normally (through the wizard instead of through the device manager?) and when it gets to the point of picking what I want to install I could just check the drivers and install first and then do it again to install CCC? Thanks |

Re: Any fixes for 9.3 CCC yet?
ATI have a new driver model & inf structure. in 9.2 the inf has a new format, in 9.3 again a totally new one.
therefore mmodder doesnt work on most cards. since now many peorple report problems with ccc when installing dd using my manual mod instructions, there also something has to have changed in the ccc core files. using driver cleaner is certainly a good idea to remove all traces of ati software before installing 9.3, but if it doesnt work, i have no clues anymore by now. on my hp 8510p notebook with the mobility hd2600 everything works fine with 9.3 (modding DESKTOP driver and installing it, then installing ccc separately). i'd stick with 9.2 or 9.1 until 9.4 comes out - shouldnt take too long as ATI have announced several new features that havent been implemented into 9.3 now, or not completely (although most for win7, but still..) |
