Why is Mobility Modder not being updated anymore?

I am interested in purchasing a toshiba laptop that has the new, either ATI H4570 or H4650. Unfortunately the mobility modder only supports up to the 3000 series. Will updates continue or was the final really the final update? Another question is I read that the new HD45x0 is based on the RV63x core or HD 3600 generation. mobility modder work in windows xp on the 4570 since it was based on the 3600 generation?
