**Can somebody edit mi name of the topic. No VISTA 7 i mean WINDOWS 7**
Hello. So i finally instaled this s0b ati drivers on Vista 7 32 bit on my alienware m5750 with ati x1800. What i do? Soooo: 1. core info i use is here Overclocking your laptop, Mobility Radeon OresTech I paste this FAQ here with extra info what i have done > you need > Mobility Modder Official drivers 32 bit (i use 9.3) Driver Signature Enforcement Ov Driver Sweeper To begin, uninstall your current drivers. If you have the Catalyst bundle installed, go to control panel, remove programs, ATI uninstall – remove CCC, Install manager, and Display Driver, reboot. If you are running Windows 7, load up DSEO and enable Testing Mode, reboot computer. If you do not have an ATI entry to uninstall in remove programs then head over to device manager (Run “devmgmt.msc”), select your display adapter, right click on it and select uninstall. Your screen will probably flash. At this point you have the option of booting into safe mode, by pressing f8 repeatedly in between bios loading screen and the windows logo, and running Driver Sweeper to wipe all traces of ATI from your computer. // Please make sure that you remove all driver files // When this is done boot back to windows and extract the //9.3// drivers you just downloaded. Now run Mobility Modder, point it to the ATI directory that was created, and click Modify. Locate atikmdag.sy_ in the ATI folder, use DSEO to sign the file. // extra > go to ..\..\Drivers\Display\LH_INF and edit the moddet INF file and change NTx86.6.1 to NTx86.6.0 end of extra //Now go back to device manager by running devmgmt.msc , select your display adapter, and press Update Driver. Navigate to Browse for File, Pick from list of drivers, select Have Disk, navigate to the ATI directory which was created *\ATI\Packages\Drivers\Display\LH6A_INF and press OK. You may be prompted whether you wish to install an unsigned driver, press yes. Use DSEO to sign the “atikmdag.sys” in your /windows/system32/drivers folder. // extra > i sign all atikmdag.sys because in my case i find two // Now you can reboot. *** You cann see its all your post. For some work just end of this faq for some works just edit the inf file. But this i think can help ALL. Thanks and i hope this help somebody ![]() and Last edited by Andariels; May 12, 2009 at 11:50 AM. |

Re: Successfully installed x1800 9.3 drivers on Vista 7 (32 bit)
Great guide! Something that needs to be pointed out: Make sure you use the 9.3 Catalyst package if you're following this for the x1800/x1900 since the new 9.5 package doesn't support those drivers at all.
Also, this works fine with x64. You just have to change any references of x86 to x64 when editing the INF files. Thanks again! |

Re: Successfully installed x1800 9.3 drivers on Vista 7 (32 bit)
I'm trying this on the RTM build but I can't get it to work.
Also when I uninstall the stock drivers that come with Windows 7 it just reinstalls automagically when it boots. Even in safe mode. I ran that Driver Sweeper in safe mode but the driver still comes back. I went through every step and the driver doesn't install. Edit: It installed successfully through device manager by picking the option to install from a list of drivers and pointing it to the driver folder.
