Today DriverHeaven is releasing Mobility Modder v1.2.0.0 for ATI chipsets.

We're proud to announce support for Windows 7 drivers in this release, so enjoy.

Version Info: 1.2.0.0 May 2009 Build.

Added Support: Windows 7 drivers.

Fixes: Fixed problem in driver modification with the 9.2 and higher drivers

both install with no errors however on reboot both have this error

Please add support for newer hardware, specifically the Mobility Radeon 4850 HD. The drivers that came with Boot Camp on my iMac are somewhat outdated.

Great work on the new version!
However, the new (not so new, released for 6 months heh) 4600 series are not supported.
I have a Notebook using 4650 HD, if you need testing hardware or vendor driver, please do contact with me!

Issues with x1400 Mobility
recent drivers:
9-4_beta_win7_32_dd_CC
9-4_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu
9-5_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu

all install with no errors however on reboot both have this error

Actually that's not quite true. To avoid HD 3470 hardware appearing as HD 3450 you still have to manually edit the config files (I edited both) with your full hardware id including SUBSYS value. Change Mobility Radeon HD 3450 reference to DEV_95C9 as well.

After edit, 9.5 drivers installed correctly on both Vista 32 bit & Win7 64 bit systems.

u do know that u can now download drivers for your card on Ati's website in windows 7. They offer mobility drivers now so u dont even have to use mobility modder, but only under windows 7, vista no...

I tried using the new modder version 1.2 for installing Catalyst 9.5 on my Lenovo W500 with an ATI FireGL V5700 (which is basically a Radeon HD 3650) optimised for CAD apps with no luck

. Catalyst 9.4 modified with the previous version of the modder 1.1 installed perfectly with minimum effort. I cannot configure switchable graphics and it is stuck on PwerSaving GPU

. In Device Manager it says that the device has been disabled (error code 43)

. I am running VISTA x64 on a 2.53ghz Lenovo W500 with 4MB RAM. Can you please help with this issue as I would really like to have these new drivers. Thanks in advance!

Does not work for me.
Display Driver does not install (9.5 x64 Vista suite).All the rest in the packge installs fine.
Will the new Modder receive some Hotfix so will do the job for x64 Vista Drivers after 9.2 suite?

ASUS F3Jp/x64 Vista/ATI Mobility Radeon X1700

Older Modder works with any problem up to 9.2 x64 Vista suite

Does not work for Win 7 on X1600 (the laptop is P52 from Benq). Tried 3 drivers: 9.5 , 9.4 and 8.6 (i'm not sure about the last one doe). CAn someone confirm it works with other drivers?

Installed Windows 7 X64 build build 7137 on my A8JP (x1700). Had the Catalyst 9.5 modded with the new Mobility Modder 1.2.0.0. No good... It just won't work...
Formatted the hard drive again and went back to Vista x86 SP2 with Catalyst 9.3 modded with the 1.2.0.0 modder. This time it worked great from the get go... I don't know what the deal is... I just wish it would work well on Windows 7 x64...
Any ideas???

Your card (X1700) like mine (X1900XT) is not supported by the Cat 9.4 and above as they are DX9 class cards. All DX10 class cards are supported by the Cat 9.4 and above (HD2/3/4 series). Yeah I know it stinks, but that is the way it is. So anyways you have the latest driver for your card.

The card is supported in one of the early drivers, but the new features of W7 are not supported (WDDM 1.1 (requires DX10 card), and the new Desktop features), because the graphics card doesn't support the new features. I am not sure if ATi plans to support the cards with further releases or not, but as of now there is only one driver that supports our cards, although I think the mobility modder needs to be used on it(not sure, basically if the card works with the given driver your fine).

i have a mobility radeon hd 3650 on vista 32,

install went fine, but after reboot, graphic card was not detected, and ccc didnt work,

had to reinstall previous driver. i hoped that it would work with 1.2, as it didnt with the previous version, but no luck.

lap top is a packard bell easy note st 86

2) I should use that version -- and where can I find it if it still exists?

3) I checked out the MS page for the reccomended MSXML 6.0 download, but there seem to be different versions - which one do I need for XP Pro 32bit ?

as you can see, there is NO card from the 4-series in the list, so obviously 4570, 4530 and all other 4xxx cards AREN'T supported yet..
