ATI Error, help plz!

HI all,

trying to install & use the modder for my for ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD3650, but I'm getting stumped on the install using 9-5_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu drivers, any ideas?

youve installed the necessary files before installing and running the mod tool including

Quote:

1: Download MSXML 6.0 from Microsoft. (Default in Vista) - Install.
3: If you are using Windows XP make sure to download .net framework from Microsoft (this is built into Windows Vista so there is no need to install it).

if you don't have .net or you may but not sure which.. make sure you download .net 3.5 SP1 framework from microsoft. It includes everything into a single easy package.

tku for the prompt reply, sorry it's late & I presumed that because I have Vista I didn't need to install MSXML...doing it now...OOOooo, hope I picked the right one? I have,

Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium
ACPI x86-based PC

& downloaded msxml6_x86.msi

here goes.....ta again

agghh....that didn't work, downloaded MSXML & .net 3.5 SP1 framework, restarted & ran the install again. After hitting OK from the 1st error message, it continued loading so I let it run but then it spat out a 2nd error message when trying to install the software again!

looks like something on your system is preventing normal operation of the system.... dependencies can be modified by viruses or other programs that are changing things in a rather odd way..

i'm not much help in this matter anymore.. as i haven't a clue how to reproduce that, and i've only seen something similare when something has been uninstalled that screwed up other programs.... like lexmarks own print spool system that when removed sometimes causes massive headaches (wish lexmark would go bankrupt)

WooHoo...got it working

I should've uninstalled ATI products after I downloaded.....I knew i had no viruses so i uninstalled everything that said ATI then ran the setup again & it worked

nice.. good stuff... that's an error message i'll have to remember..

usually it's always a good idea to remove previous drivers
