Mobility Modder and ATI 9.6 drivers

ok, followed instructions as per the MM write up, however my driver will not update to the 9.6 version.

I am using an Asus F3ka series laptop with windows vista 32 bit, 4 gb ram, 160 hd, and radeon mobility 2600 hd dedicated graphics.

Current version of the drivers is 8.401.0.0 from 7/27/2007.

Any others out there that can offer assistance would be gladly appreciated...

first, uninstall the present driver, preferably using driver cleaner.

then try again using MM. if it doesnt work, try modifying the driver manually http://www.hardwareheaven.com/mobility...ty-modder.html

Ergh, forgot that, but thought Vista was User Friendly - forgot Microsoft doesn't make anything easy!

Will do that and try to install...
