Sony ATI 4650 1GB help

Hello all. I recently purchased the new SONY 490 FW-jft laptop which has an ATi Mobility 4650 GPU. My laptop is running Vista 64

Laptop Specs:
2.8ghz
6gig ram
4650 1GB

I followed directions and modded the drivers (the mod program said it was completed), however it did not work. I'm still under Sony ATI driver which is version 8.5

My computer crashes every single time I play Team Fortress 2, I'm assuming because of the dated drivers....however I understand that there are problems with Vista. I even tried turning off my firewall and that did not help fix the crash.

Could anyone please help me out?
