Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

you have to do a sytsemrecovery. happened to me too. i tried a 2.nd installation and it worked on the first view. but when i go to hardware/videocardsettings/driver there i can see a error ( 43 ) where is written to: videocard has stopped working because of this error.

when i start the comp there appear " no MOM.application found " aswell.
has someone an idea how to fix that???

Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

I'm running windows in boot camp on a macbook pro 2.33Ghz. Its got a radeon x1600, currently running 9.1 driver, which doesnt seem to work with COD6 (corrupt txt, unreadable menus) tried modding the 9.10 driver but crashed on install and like pindle, had to do a system recovery and lost it all. No idea how to get it working. Can't get any driver post 9.1 to install, modded or not. help is much appreciated, anyone?

Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

awesome! wicked job mate, I can't even begin to understand how that was so easy when i've been struggling over it for the last 24 hours. I have a sneaking suspicion that COD6 won't run, simply because the graphics card is too old but its worth a whirl in the morning. If not, maybe play something else. Thanks again buddy

Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

I have a simple question. Will this I mean the whole acrobatics work on my Fujitsu n6010 ATI Mobility 9700. I know you guys are nor responsible that I have bought expensive crappy computer from unprofessional manufacturer, but I did not successfully upgrade my catalyst and driver for this GPU. I need Open GL 2.0 minimum to run stuff. I did my own work-around but it was not good enough. Omega simply is not the solution. In some respect it is better since it is more updated but OpenGL 2.0> doesn't work. Thanks

It does not work at all.

The error message :

With almost the same Hardware configuration on my Packard Bell Butterfly S FM 150 Notebook (hybrid graphics with Intel Mobility GS45 Express Chipset plus ATI Mobility Radeon 4330), I encounter the same problem in Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I would be grateful for any help!

Maybe you can also give a hint which Catalyst version should be used in this case. Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

Hello All,

I am new to this forum. Hi to everyone. I tried the latest modder tool on this site with the ATI4650 Mobility radeon on HP Pavilion Dv7-2177cl on Windows XP PRO SP3. It seems to have worked fine but with the ATI driver on this site and not on the ATI site. Thus I could only use the driver version 8.12 where as the latest driver on the ATI site is 9.12. I am not sure what the disadvantages are between the two versions. Also can some one provide a guidance on the settings that need to be used on the driver for best display results. Would highly appreciate a response.

Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

Hi guys, I'm new at the forum and I wanna know if I should install the desktop drivers(9.12) on my laptop(Acer Aspire 6930G):

ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650
Windows Vista Home Premium 32-BIT
Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 2.13GHz
4GB DDR2
1TB dual HDD

And should I uninstall the CCC and the drivers I have(8.563) before installing the new ones?

Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

Until a new version of Mobility Modder is released, you will have to use the beta 9.9 drivers, or mod the newest drivers yourself.

Here is a quick howto : http://www.hardwareheaven.com/driverhe...rs-9-12-a.html

AW: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

I have the same videocard. Mobility HD 4650.

I just wanted to use the modder on the 9.12 Drivers to use them on Win7 64 Bit. This does work, right?
But What do I do with the 9.12 hotfix? Do I have to mod them too?

Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

Will the current tool support/mod to enable installation on a system with the Mobility 5830? I have a new Envy 15 coming and am planning to do a complete wipe of the drive of all the bloatware but currently HP doesn't have a driver download for this chip/card yet and I definitly want to use drivers that support the 58xx
Thanks

Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

Support for the ATI mobility 4100 would greatly be appreciated. this tool is a wonderful idea, but sadly, does not currently support this particular card.

I tried doing them the manual way, didn't work for me.

I have links to the original drivers released by toshiba (already extracted version) for this particular card Below as well as the device ID etc etc.

if any more info is needed, feel free to contact me.

TroyTheZombie@hotmail.com

The laptop is a
Toshiba Satellite L500D PSLT6C-00X
AMD M860G with Mobility Radeon 4100 (256MBytes)
Chipset AMD 785GX
Southbridge ATI SB750

PNPDeviceID
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9713&SUBSYS_FF801179&REV_00\4&323 8D473&0&2808

ATI Mobility 4100 drivers.zip

The 8.634.1.0 drivers already extracted (the ones that Toshiba released)
These drivers have support for several cards according to the inf files and i hope the link i give to the drivers will help to add support for several cards.

also, just in case, here is my cpu-z report-

So what all Catalyst Driver versions does this modder work? I tried on Catalyst 10.1 but it doesnt seem to install the Display Driver for my ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2300 on Windows 7 32bit

Should I download an older 9.12 or perhaps 9.7 version of the Catalyst so that ATI Modder 1.2.1.0 can effectively make the installation successful?

It will work with 9.12. It's what I have installed right now for my 4850.

I downloaded and extracted the 9.12 drivers from the AMD site for the Radeon 4570 for my Dell 1557. I modded the drivers with 1.2.1.0. I ran SETUP.EXE to load the drivers but I get "Catalyst Install Manager has stopped working". Anybody have any ideas as to what is going wrong? Thanks in advance

Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

The latest Catalyst 10.1 and 10.2, but sometimes also 9.12, can't be modded with Mobility Modder. Better, they can be modded but either it ends up in an error or they SEEM to install while they don't.

I highly suggest these drivers: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

They are the leaked beta version of 10.3, I installed them on my Mobility Radeon HD 3650 with no problem and no need to use Mobility Modder.

Re: ATI Mobility Modder Version 1.2.1.0 Released

Well if I understood things correctly the driver pkg starting with I think it was 10.3 is supposed to work for both Laptops and Desktops so one didn't have to mod them anymore, at least with laptops from companies that don't decide they want to opt out. How accurate the info is I'm not sure as I haven't updated my laptops driver with the latest 10.4's yet myself.

Anyways this is from the 10.4 dirver readme:

The following notebooks are not supported in this release:
Any notebook launched after this driver release

Switchable Graphics enabled notebooks using Intel chipsets.

Toshiba notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver
support for these notebooks)

Sony VAIO notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for
driver support for these notebooks)

Panasonic notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for

driver support for these notebooks)

Since their 4870's it might still work but no promises on my part. I'm just going by what I've read. I know ppl over in some threads I've been reading concerning Envy 15's from HP say it works fine for them. I've just been lazy and havent gotten around to it because of school.
