Re: Nvidia Mobility Modder updated V1.1.0.0

Just wanted to give an update, i am working on a newer version and that should fix the problems with newer drivers. It looks like nVidia changed a lot of things in the newer driver versions, so the new version should work and will be released soon.

Hey All,

I seemed to have run into an issue with getting the modded drivers for nVIDIA Geforce FX go5600. Windows 7 refuses to use them. Is there anyway to force Windows to use them over the standard vga card drivers.

Cheers

I have the same problem. The driverheaven tool allows the install to run, which it did not previously. But then on restart, win7 goes back to VGA. I tried to use the update feature, and saw that the Geforce 7400 was now listed along with the VGA driver, which it was not before. But when I choose it and try to update, it tells me it's not made for Win7 (or something like that).

So I am also wondering if there's a way to force it to use the 7400 driver, or have Win7 not check compatibility, or modify the driver further so that it thinks its compatible. The laptop is a Sony SZ390P, which I know is part of the problem so I was hoping this would solve it.

Re: Nvidia Mobility Modder updated V1.1.0.0

I have the same problem with Windows 7 Basic x64 with an nVidia GeForce 440 GO 64m. I am trying with the 96.33 version of the driver that I found on the driverheaven download page to see if that works. I had modified the 191.07 which then was allowed to install but got the message that others are getting regarding the system not being modified.

I got the same message with the 96.33 nVidia Vista x64 driver.

Same here.

I employ a 9600M GT in Win7 x64 Pro.
The tool says it has modded the .inf successfully, but I still can not install the driver.

I would be very pleased, if you could fix this, because I really want this smooth HD Video acceleration.
The old Mobility Driver seems to have some issues, when it comes to that, and I do not think NVIDIA has plans to update it anytime soon.

Thanks!

Re: Nvidia Mobility Modder updated V1.1.0.0

hello,
can anyone please give us some information on progress or anything.

There are sooo many cards from nvidia now, especially Geforce Go (mobile), which don't get any Driver updates.
Please at times like this we really need the MobilityModder, so we can get GPU acceleration for the Adobe 10.1 Flash Player and such future keys

How can i solve this problem?
Thanks in advance !!!

I am hoping to install Win XP on a Medion 8850 which came pre-installed
with Windows 7 Home Premium. It has a NVIDIA MCP79MH board.

On this page

I know this may seem simple but you don't know if you don't ask right ...

What do you do about Point 4 below if you have Windows XP Pro (32 bit)
when using Nvidia Modder ?

4. In Vista/Win7, go to C:/NVIDIA/WinVista/177.79 (Or whatever the driver installation folder was called), and run the SETUP.EXE.

Re: Nvidia Mobility Modder updated V1.1.0.0

Hey Y'all,

First, I want to thank you guys for all your hard work and skill - *bows deeply*.

Next (and to my point), *are* there indeed any plans to update the Mobility Modder? I ask because I (as I'm sure many others) am royally screwed for drivers. I just purchased a lovely Toshiba Qosmio which has a hot li'l GPU known as a GTS 360m (not to be confused with the Quadro of a similar name).

Both laptop and GPU rock, but...neither Toshiba nor nVidia have seen fit to make any drivers beyond the initial 188.29s...which, in the land of constant driver updates, are dinosaurs.

All attempts at .inf hacking (via the fine fellows at both TweakForce and LaptopVideo2Go) have availed me naught - no drivers will install, citing no recognized hardware.

Help!

It's funny how quickly people feel the world owes them something that others do voluntarily, for free, in their own time.

This last comment reminds me of this video clip of Louis CK on Conan "Everything is amazing right now and nobody's happy":

Hello Guys,

i have a brandnew Thinkpad T410 with a nVidia Quadro NVS 3100 card.
Are there any capabilities to mod a driver with mobility modder?

When will newer Cards be supported? Any Release Dates?

How about adding new 3xx series mobile nVidia cards. 360M GTS is out in many laptops with no additions in the modder. Is there a place to request adding new cards?

@mpollard: no, wiselee was not exactly the politest (or easiest to understand) poster (requester?) in the world, but, to his credit, it *has* been over nine months with NO update for the nVidia Mobile Modder.

A simple, "You know what, real life is taking priority right now guys" would be sufficient - then the idiots would stop clogging up the threads, and I would stop helplessly hoping for some lovin' for my GTS 360m woes.

Hello!

Is it possible to have Mobility Modder updated to support more nVidia chipsets and cards; such as the GeForce G210M?

That would be outstanding, thanks!

Re: Nvidia Mobility Modder updated V1.1.0.0

im having ENORMOUS troubles trying to update nvidia geforce fx5500 driver for desktop! i have tried the modder and the laptopvideo2go (more than once) and while running the unlockers they request extra files like - nv4_dsp mini (thingy) and nvdispsr (thingy) just after the dialog box that says something along the lines of - no certification (blah blah) do you wish to continue - i say "yes" of course.
please - no suggestions on upgrading hardware, comp and/or graphics card.
any assist (esp. step by step diagrams/dialog) is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Re: Nvidia Mobility Modder updated V1.1.0.0

On a SONY VAIO VGN-AR61M running W7-64 bit with NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT (256 Mo) , the current driver 156.65 (Sept 2007) Vista64 compatible is running nearly well.
However, i have tried to upgrade to 197.16 via Modder tool procedure which has done about 62 modifications in the NVIDIA ForceWare repertory... SETUP process runs now well completely without any error message, this is a progress, but the upgrade seems NOT effective after the reboot.
Version driver remains the old one (156.65) !! So, seems Modder tools has done inappropriate blank modifications...
Hopefully, the old (156.65) Forceware driver is still alive and running !

When a new NVIDIA MOBILITY Modder version fix this issue ?
Regards.
