ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 Mod driver bsod (Windows 7)

Hi,

I got the latest mod tool (1.2.1.0) from the web site and downloaded the latest 9.7 driver from amd/ati web site. Got all modification of the driver successfully but then when I try to install it, I got a bsod. I tried to reinstall it again after restart from the bsod and it did install fine. However, after restart and went into Device Manager and the driver is being stopped by Windows as window detected it causes problem...I'm not sure it's causes by the mod or not. I heard 9.8 is coming out soon, hope the author of the tool can have a look at this issue. Thank you very much.

Kind regards,
stephenteh

Re: ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 Mod driver bsod (Windows 7)

Hello, AMD/ATI have removed support for ATI 9x/Xx/1x Radeon chips (R300/400/500 cores) in lates drivers.
The last one that supports 9x/Xx/1x Radeon is Catalyst 9.3
There is a chance that, the binary could contain still code for these Radeons, but if does not it will probably BSOD your system.
