Noob question

Is there anything special that I should know before using Driver cleaner 1.8 on my Creative Drivers?

Sorry for the noob question but I am feeling a little paranoid.

I just wanna say that I never gave this program a chance until last night, but I'm really glad I finally did. It works great. Thx so much Spike, this is definitely something I will use often now. Keep up the great work!

SURVEY: DRIVER CLEANER

1) How big is the file driver.cab in your C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache\i386? Also mention if you have or have not used driver cleaner before.

2) If you have used Cab Cleaner, please run sfc /scannow and does it run 100% OK? (Yes/No)

Thanks

This all refers to version 1.7 and 1.8(especially)

System Specs

1. Normal 75 MB after cleaning 120 MB <<< This is explained in the help file.

2. That will give errors because that stupid scan program grabs the files out of the driver.cab so it always takes old files and that is something you don't want.

Ok, but I've replaced driver.cab and sp1.cab with the files from the xp pro cd.

Thanks, I've used the 1.7 and now the 1.8 with no problems! Much simpler than trying to go thru and remove everything manually...I have missed some things in the past that ended up giving me problems.
