xp64 and mobility hd

Hi,

I had this 64bits technology sleeping quietly in a corner of my ignorance for a year untill a friend of mine told me that all core2 were 64b able.

I own a m-series 6873h from Gateway whitch is based on a mobility radeon 2600 HD. Vista drivers for my card comes with both 32 and 64 compilation technologies but it seems that mobility modder couldnt make me a proper xp64 driver the way i tried to have it to... After modding the official gateway drivers desinged for my product, the installer tells that it canot detect any corresponding hardware. I then tried renaming the x86 folder of the setup so that i make sure that mobility modder only mods the x64 part but it ends up to the same result. Diferant informations can be found on my first DH thread here http://www.hardwareheaven.com/off-topi...ml#post1294387 I explain the problem with other words and i belive that this is coherant informations.

Yet, i had mostly all of my drivers to work correctly for my machine.. Mayby a few here and there... (Lets give it a look...... aaah ehmmm.... What is missing yet is "vga drivers" (whitch will come with mobility drivers) I got a yellow (!) aside "bcm92045nmd" whitch means nothing to me.... (usb... vid... probably something to do with the webcam)
then i got 3 distinct unknown peripherals
first: "location: on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller"
id: acpi/pnp0c32/1
seconnd: "location: on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller"
id: acpi\pnp0c32\2
Third: "location: on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller"
id: acpi\pnp0c32\3

That doesnt make much useable informations to me but mayby somebody knows what that all means :P

(those infos are coming from device manager, item, proprieties, details)

I got a try installing the lastest catalyst, ignoring any model links, just in case it would work. The software installed itself but couldnt launch. And the uninstaller crashes whitch is realy hillarous XD I'm stuck at this exact point finaly; at getting mobility to work.

So yeah..... I guess that i would have to mod up some stuff manualy between mobility modder and usual vista drivers so that i get to a clever compromise and this is where i belive we all should start brainstorming and resolving :P

I am impatient to read about this thread's progression and to get your answers.

Thanx

Matt
