Re: Help ATI Mobility Radeon 7500

Freut mich,

Go the Fujitsu site - AMD does not supply the mobility drivers directly.

You may also try : Mobilty Radeon 7500 Vista Driver - Home

In XP, you can also try the Omega drivers 3.8.252 or the Mobility Modding Tool - generally more flexible, but some games do BSOD.

Re: Help ATI Mobility Radeon 7500

Unfortunately, no. Radeon Mobility 7500 doesn't have the necessary hardware capabilities.

Re: Help ATI Mobility Radeon 7500

Aero uses technology that was only added to graphics cards later, with Radeon 9500 and higher, so there's no hack that would enable it to run on a 7500. Also, it cannot be emulated in software.

I'm afraid that you're permanently stuck with Vista Basic or the old, Windows 2000 - like GUI on that machine.

Re: Help ATI Mobility Radeon 7500

Hi Folks,

Want to say you have a great site – thank you tons!

I just installed ATI Mobility Radeon 9600/9700 driver using your

DH MOBILITY MODDER.NET. Everything installed just fine - Great directions!
Maybe you can help me with my problem?

My VAIO has a 17” monitor - but after the installation my machine displays a 15” display – it has black borders around the display…

When I disable the driver and reboot the display is 17”. When I re-enable the driver it is back to a 15” display.

What can I do – does anyone know?

Machine specs:

processor's 2MB of L2 cache
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 64MB graphics chip
Windows XP Home; 1.7GHz Intel Pentium M 735;
512MB DDR SDRAM 333MHz;
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 64MB;
Hitachi Travelstar 80GN 80GB 4,200rpm

Thanks again for your help,

Eric

Re: Help ATI Mobility Radeon 7500

That usually means you are using a non-native resolution. In CCC (advanced), go to Graphics > Display properties. Right-click the monitor and hit "configure..." Then ensure the check box for Enable GPU scaling is checked. "Maintain aspect ratio" will expand, but keep your ratio. "Scale image to full panel size" will make it fill the screen, possibly messing up the image ratio.
