hd3470 external hdmi monitor colours

Hi

Im wondering if anyone can help with an issue on a msi cx620. It has an i5 integrated graphics gpu and also an ati 5470.

The main issue is simply once you hit HD resolutions on and external monitor
(via hdmi) the ATI the colours and brightness/contrast go washed out and a little bit less colour. I cant understand why it does this only at these resolutions?

The intel card does not do this, it keeps the colours ok, so it kinda makes using an external monitor on the ATI card useless because the colours look much more bland than the integrated one. This only happens once it uses hd resolutions which adds to the frustration.

Thanks for any info. Incidently this is on the drivers from the msi website, the normal ones wont work and also the modified ones here wont install.

Re: hd3470 external hdmi monitor colours

I dont expect an answer tbh, never get answers when I post on forums. but isnt that strange? It changes colour, brightness, contrast when you go into HD resolutions? I notice in ATI cat settings it has "hdtv" resolutions, its a real shame as it messes up the colour too much, even if you mess around with the gamma settings its still incorrect. Its very annoying as theres nothing on the internet about it. It will be the last ATI based product I buy because everytime I get one theres something annoying about it. What annoys me further is todays lack of testing, no one noticed the whole colour washed out when using external monitor on hd res? Probably never even tested, cant even use the ati drivers that are up to date, and sorry this modified driver just doesnt do anything on my machine despite lots of attempts,

cheers
