OmegaATI .. AND .. ATI Modder Problems
What can I say.. neither work..
I have a Fujitsu-Siemens.. aka FuckShitSuck-SitOnMyAss AmiloA 7600 (CY26) laptop with a .. according to their over one year old drivers (July 2002) and the techspecs for this particular soon to be smashed machine.. is a ATi Mobility Radeon IGP 320M chip.. the machines comes with 256mb default installed of wich 32 are for the Radeon, I added 512mb and set 64mb for the Radeon. I tried the OMEGA drivers, ATI Modded OMEGA drivers, ATI Modded Catalyst drivers with various forms of WindowsXP.. the restoreCD.. the HOME version.. the PRO version with and without SP1 and various combinations of hotfixes with combinations of full reinstalls or usage of the DriveCleaner 2.0 after 23 full reinstalls of windowsXP I now give up unless someone has an absolutely fantastic idea (besides boobytrapping this machine and sending it to Fujitsu-Siemens). OmegaATI drivers.. they install.. half way and instead of giving me the .INF (grr arrgh curse) msg I get a "this driver is not compatible with the (POS) graphics adapter(s) installed in this machine" error and upon reboot the ATI Control panel ofcourse complains about no ATI drivers loaded because they were incompatible. - same result every time - Modded drivers, they install give no error msg about the .INF but instead give me a box telling me these drivers are not certified and I answer yes (as if there was a choice) and all seems fine.. I reboot and.. ATI Control Panel complains about no drivers loaded, apparentl cos they are incompatible with the POS graphics adapter in this bloody machine heh.. I'm sorry.. but I really had my hopes high this time thinking.. yes.. finally.. drivers from 2003.. but.. no.. ![]() Any suggestiones?.. Help.: I cant stand 1+year old graphics drivers nomore.. ;( ixxo |

Ixxo, actually I have found that it's own drivers, although from last year works the best. IGP 320M is not suitable for games anyway.
The FSC drivers offers best stability than any other driver I have tried so far. In fact, I got third-party drivers to work on an Amilo A but 3D didn't work. It would freeze under 30 secs if I even tried a 3D Windows screensaver. |

So the 320 won't work at all? Man, I was hoping to be able to play Battlefield 1942 this week and now I find out it won't run. I guess I'll just have to wait another month for my new computer. And I really wanted to play BF:1942.

IGP's are like integrated graphics in desktop PC's, not good for gaming. You can try BF with FSC drivers or modified 3.8's but don't expect miracles. Laptops equipped with Mobility Radeons are more like gaming laptops. I have Mobility 9000 in my own laptop and it runs latest games quite damn well.
