Pawn,
sorry for the late reply, try donwloading the sepatare driver files (driver and Control panel) Extract the driver, use the modder and then install the driver and after that the control panel. Should do the trick! Patje

ok this is what i did.
first i ran the EXE and extracted the files to C:\ATI\Support and so forth then it starts to install.. thats when i get that erro.. then i used the modder on the folder where the drivers are located on my Hard drive.. after that. i go to the folder and click on setup and run the file.. then i get the same erro before.. I dont understand i'm using the 3.7 driver that modded right now dont undertand why 3.8 cant find the ati card |

For XP:
http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/w...=15&submit.y=7 For Win2K: http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/w...=17&submit.y=8 There you can find the all-in-one driver and the seperate packages. What you can also try is to specify the C:\ati\support\wxp-w2k-catalyst-7-94-030917m-011434c\driver that should also work. Regards!

You need to manually install the 3.8's through device manager. Patje's mobility modder modifies the .ini's but setup.exe won't allow you to install the drivers. Manually installing the drivers after running Patje's mobility mod does the trick. After that, run Control panel setup and reboot.
Patje probably can't do anything about ATI's new setup check routine unless he replaces the setup.exe. I don't know what Omegadrive made to make those install on Mobility Radeons, if he did anything. I haven't tried his 3.8 drivers. Patje, in a case you haven't tested latest Catalysts, the error message setup gives is not the one you think it is. I don't know whether all ATI laptop adapters are affected by this, but at least it didn't work on Mobility 9000. Last edited by The Keeper; Oct 14, 2003 at 06:31 PM. |

You can use the modder normally with the full package, but you will then have to go to the "Driver" subfolder and run setup.exe from there to install the driver, and after that go to the "CPanel" subfolder and run the setup.exe located there.
the modder is used with the following path (standard): "C:\ATI\support\wxp-w2k-catalyst-7-94-030917m-011434c" |
