Request for Spike - Driver Cleaner and Creative Audio

Am I correct in stating that DriverCleaner currently delete's ALL Creative files? For some this might be good, but could you add a "lite" Creative cleaning option, or something along those lines, that just removes the driver, and not all the other stuff? I ask this beacuse there's a lot of stuff that only comes with the CD (such as the detection files for the internal drive, which comes with the Audigy 1/2 Platinum's); a lot of other files need to be re-downloaded. That's a major hassle when I just want to remove the Creative driver to install a newer/older one.

Could you look into this? Thanks!

Can you tell me more, like does it deletes the complete dir? Can you tell me what files needs to stay or directory names? Any info is welcome.

It deletes the entire directory. As to what files are needed but are not part of the driver, oh gosh, I'm no expert, but from what I've seen "SB Drive Det," "Mediasource" definitley should not be deleted. I'm PRETTY sure that the bulk of the driver, apart from registration entries, is located in SBAudigy2\Program (at least for my Audigy 2) and the files and DLLs in the C:\Windows\System32.

You may want to examine the Creative uninstaller.

Hope you can figure out a way to do this; Creative drivers are awful and their uninstallation program often fails to remove the things it is supposed to

Ok thanx i will check the dir structure. I don't thought it only removed the audio driver dlls and such from the windows dir and system dir, but it indeed deletes the SBAudigy2 dir and all in it. So i will make a seperate 1 for only the audio drivers.
