Driver Cleaner 2 bug with MMC

I install all my apps to my D drive, including MMC. When I run Driver Cleaner I get an error that it can't find C:\Program Files\ATI Multimedia. I downloaded and installed the current version of Driver Cleaner from http://www.hardwareheaven.com/cleaner/ just to make sure I have the latest version, no change.

well thats becouse it looks for the default installs , you can't expect him to be able to support every custom install, directry and folders do ya?

It could be set up to search but then there could be problems with possably it deleteing stuff people didn't want it too...For eample i have a dozen copyies of drivers installed in the system folder plus mmc files, if any of those were deleted i'd be an one un happy camper...

.... personally I'd just use the default install directry like the other 99.999% of people...least thats my take on it

It's not like the install path isn't in the registry, either. HLKM/Software/Ati Technologies/Install/ATIMMCInstallDir.

Your 99.999% number is an exageration anyway, I know at least a dozen folks who reserve a partition for OS.

[Edit : I hadn't seen this forum before, sorry for posting in the wrong place. Now that I see Spike's thread on how to report problems I'll send him a quick E-mail.]

Appreciated, Spike. I know I'm not the only one out there. Driver Cleaner's a great tool and has saved me tons of time when switching Cat versions.

I checked and did some tests, but there is a problem you run into. After you uninstalled MMC from the add/remove panel than also that registry key will be deleted, so the program can't retrieve it anymore. I will see if i can think of another solution.
