the 4.11 and 4.12 are release on the same day... how different are they? Is it a dramatic difference? Because I installed 4.11 just fine and everything is dandy. I'm wondering if it's not THAT much of a dramatic difference, then i won't go out of my way to try and instal the 4.12.

Thanks, but I'm gonna wait on the modder. In the meantime I'm gonna keep tinkering with it a bit

With both sets, 9600 on an ASUS laptop...

Any ideas greatly received...

EDIT...

Tried the other modded drivers, linked above, and they install but screen resolution is now limited to 1024 x 768...

yes, i'm aware of the resolution problem. I'm still looking for a way to fix this.

oh, and you can install drivers without modding them, but not for all cards. and yes you will miss some mobility features.

i successfully intalled them after 3 hours.at least for my laptop these are the best release ever.games are much smoother and faster now

although im sure omega will do something better .

Patje congragulations for the very good job.I install 4.11 drivers to my laptop but the powerdvd isn't working and Ican;t see any dvd althouth the games play very well.Please help.

He's the godfather of optimized drivers. He's been modding drivers longer than me. The difference between me and him is that his drivers are optimized for games and for all cards. My tool or files just add mobility support to the original catalyst drivers without any kind of optimizations. it's up to you to decide what to use

Have you tried other dvd software? and what type of card do you have? can you still play avi or wmv files??

My card is a mobility radeon 9000 . I also receive a messege that it can't play with resolution under 1024x768 and it stops. But I play fifa 2005 and nba 2005 very well.

hmm, strange. Is 1024x768 your standard resolution? try chaning the colors from 16-bit to 32-bit or vice versa.

Patje I try with windvd 4 and powerdvd 6 and the same problem My system stop working and need to restart. have install 4.11 drivers .I havent that probem with 4.9 but now when I try to install them I have DIRECTDRAW ,DIRECT3D,agp ACCELARATION didable and I dont remember what I had done before to make them work.Any suggestion????????
