??? Catalyst 4.12 for mobility 9000?

Hi. I was just wondering if the Catalyst 4.12 drivers also count for the ATi Radeon 9000 Mobility card. Because the Modder doesn't work for 4.12 yet, I cannot test it out.

The beta drivers of the 4.12 were only for the 9500 and higher, that's the only thing I know.

By the way, what is this CCC thing?

Thanks from a newbee

CCC stands for catalyst control center or something like that. It's the new redefined control panel from ati. THAT is only for 9500 and higher (i think). You can still install the drivers with the old control panel. Look at this thread to mod the beta 4.12's. http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthre...ht=4.12+modder

Thanks, but those are still the beta versions, judging from the last edited date (17th of november). The final 4.12s were only released earlier today. Or yesterday at the time of writing.

you cant use atis cats for mobility cards !!!!! dont even try.

the best option is using omegas drivers, actually thats about the only option other than the manfacturers drivers...

i mean you cant got to the ati site, download the catalyst and install them directly onto the lappy, why would you want to use a modder when omegas drivers are already modded to work on a laptop and do a 10 times better job than modded cats...

and anyway im pretty sure that you cant use ati modded cats, but mabye im wrong, i gave up on my laptop a while ago it had a mobility 9000 and mobility modder wouldnt even work...

there's a new modder.. not the program but a more manual way of doing things works. And I don't want to use Omega since I would take a slight performance hit. Omegadrivers is not for better performance, yet only for better graphical representation. But ATi drivers are still the fastest for me.

guys, use the driver that suits you the most, if you like omega's use them, if you like ati's use them. Basically they are all ATI catalyst drivers modded or not.

Anyhow i'll try to get the modded 4.12's up today. if there not up before 19u00h (GMT +1) I didn't make it but I promise you'll get them the day after.

hope the 4.12 mod doesn't recognize my 9700 as a 9600 again. That was weird but at least there didn't seem to be any performance hit.

Actually you could download mobility drivers off the ATI website for a little bit and someone even posted it on driverheaven but it got taken off for legal reasons.

the HP ZT3000's are meant to have 9200's in them. but they rebadged 9000's. so when you change to Omega's you no longer have a 9200. maybe you company slipped in a rebadged 9700. i would chacked with your manufacturer.
