DriverHeaven - Driver Cleaner Professional Edition 1.0

Here is a new release of Driver Cleaner. It is the Professional edition. It is recoded and has improved in many ways since 3.3. The drivercleaner website has also been overhauled.

Here is a small list of what has changed or added:
- Easier to use
- New User Interface
- New Settings window
- New language files
- New help file
- Restore for all is now in 1 place
- Backup cleanup is now in 1 place
- Improved cleaning files
- Code improvements
- Better cab file extracting in Cab Cleaner

With this release ive introduced Live Update. For ease of use you can just update the program without uninstalling and installing a new version. More information on Live Update in the Readme.

IMPORTANT: uninstall any older version first before installing Driver Cleaner Professional.

It is for nVidia, ATI, Creative, Turtle Beach, SIS Graphics and 3Dfx. It will remove anything that is left by the drivers after uninstall.

You can download the new version here. Please note due to many sites ignoring our EULA, being dishonourable and deep linking files from the Driverheaven server we have anti leeching scripts now in place. if you want to spread the news regarding this release, then link to our HTML page.

If you use this program either for personal or business use and wish to support this program, please consider a donation via paypal ( information on www.drivercleaner.net ). Every little bit helps my development time over the last 2 years in bringing this tool to the public domain. See the Driver Cleaner website for a link or check the readme or help file for more details.

It seems as if the scripts think that I am hardlinking the files? I cannot download from http://www.drivercleaner.net......GAH!

BTW, I use Firefox 1.0 and am not using d/l accelerator software.
EDIT: Tried IE 6.0 and to no avail. What's the deal?

EDIT#2: Found out that your scripts don't like Zone Alarm Security Suite one teensy little bit.

this is what im getting

Anti Leech Page If you see this page then it is possible that the site you visited, direct linked to one of my downloads.
Direct linking is not allowed. Webmasters should link to the Driver Cleaner main page.

That is frome the drivercleaner.net page and the mirror....

whats the deal there spike, i got zone alarm pro, but that shouldnt make any difference...

it says on the page, some firewalls will block referrer information, zone alarm is one of them. Its unfortunate we had to put anti leeching scripts onto the sites but we were losing 100s of gigs a month to sites like guru3d who deep linked to the files.

Hit control refresh if you are using IE to get the newest pages from the server dom you are probably caching the old site.

Thank you all for the replies. It is indeed true that Zonealarm blocks the referrer info.

Dom if refreshing does not work then, cleaer the cache of your browser and try again.

Does this version still have the much bigger driver cabs after you clean them? Or have you made it so they compress smaller?

This version still had the driver.cab a little bigger. It is not easy to adjust. The dll i use to do the extracting and packing is not made by me. I don't have the source code to adjust that and using the exe file ms uses is not good. They use batch files and that goes wrong on a lot of systems. I used those batch files in the beginning of Cab Cleaner and there were a lot of problems, so i had to choose between a bigger driver.cab file or the idea that it works ok in like 20-30% of the usage.

Danhill do you use anything like zonealarm? if so please disable it for 1 time when you download. Zonealarm blocks the referrer.

nsi8.tmp load Error

Good Day,
After installing the Professional edition of DRIVER Cleaner, upon Reboot I observed this file, " nsi8.tmp " flash across the screen asking " what program to use " to open this file. Suggestions?
