Thankx DosCervezas and El Kapitano for trying it. I always look if the bug is small or big and this bug was big so i always want to fix that asap. Small problems/bugs i will fix and wait until i have some more updates and then release it.
I am glad it works ok now.

war59312 goto your Driver Cleaner Pro install directory and open DCleaner.ini. Checky by [UPDATE] and see if DataInformation looks like this DataInformation=liveupdate11. Maybe that somehow got reset back.

bake15 can you do a search for sp1.cab? Because the program looks if it exists in 2 folders so maybe it is in the other.

Although I updated to SP2 my computer still has SP1.cab files on it. Bake, did you include hidden files when you searched for SP1.cab on your system? They should still be there unless you deleted them earlier.

DataInformation=liveupdate11 Well I completely uninstalled and reinstalled and its back to build 21. And updated again to 24 and again it dies after upgrading to 24. So works fine before updating to build 24. Thanks, Will |

Wierd, because LiveUpdate is still build 22 i thought and that datainformation is also correct. I will look into it. So you can update it 2 times is that correct after build 21?

Perhaps this is nothing but I'd like to mention it just in case could help making DriverCleaner even better. After uninstalling the Creative Audigy2 drivers and running DriverCleaner there were a few related files still left. I've only used the official driver packages on this install. DC 1.1.24 was used. WinXP-SP2 with file protection system disabled.
\windows\ CTHELPER.EXE Ctregrun.exe CTDCRES.DLL CTDV10K1.CDF CTDV10K2.CDF CTDVAUDY.CDF \windows\system32\ CT_OAL.DLL CTAGENT.DLL CTASIO.DLL CTDC0000.DLL CTDC0001.DLL CTDCIFCE.DLL CTEDASIO.DLL CTEDSPFX.DLL CTEDSPFX.DLL CTEDSPSY.DLL CTMMEP.DLL CTOSUSER.DLL CTPCMCIA.DLL CTPRES.DLL CTSCAL.DLL CTSPKHLP.DLL CTTHXCAL.DLL \windows\system32\drivers CTTHXCal.DLL |

Driver Cleaner Pro 1.1 doesn't work. I followed steps as written in the Readme and it left over settings from my previous Catalyst install. Like long values (31 00 00 00) and geometry instancing was on by default when I installed (i set it to ON in 5.4). When I used the cleaner I set it to remove all ATI related items. I am logged in as adminstrator. I have no virus/spyware/malware/adware of any kind.
I am trying to uninstall Catalyst 5.4 CCC and install 5.5 CCC. Windows XP Pro SP2 (fresh install) ASUS A8V Deluxe (chipset VIA K8T800Pro + VT8237) ATI Radeon 9700 Pro Last edited by ghosted.x; May 18, 2005 at 06:12 PM. |
