Does anyone know of any compatibility issues with the ATI Mobility Drivers? I ask because on the site it gives a list of all the compatible manufacturers and my Seanote ain't there...

grrr.. asus and acer isn't supported also, but works perfecly.. just try it.. the driver detects if you got the right vidcard and not the right manufacturer of the notebook.

Hi all

I''ve got an HP notebook with Ati Mobility FireGL T2 and supposedly according to the previous pages' discussion we can use the latest 5.7 catalyst set right? Well, when I go to the ATI site it says only X700 and X800 are supported - but the previous page lists me as a compatable card. Can someone enlighten me?

Cheers

Matt

*sign* If it's in the list it will work. The official 5.7 are for all the cards that are in the list and nog only for x700/x800. ATI just wants you to think that. (and this question is asked before)

DirectX 8 Not Installed ... Please install it before..

Hello,

I am trying to upgrade my RADEON IGP 345M with the DHModTool3. Compaq Presario 2500.

I've installed the Catalyst 5.13 I believe and all installed as laid out in the instructions. Then when running the modtool and selecting the Go Mobile button it goes thru it's status bar then asks to install the drivers now and I select Yes. It then closes the modtool box and flickers the screen a little and then a Sever prompt comes up and says that DirectX 8 is not installed. Please install it before installing the display driver. Ok is the only button. When clicked it then brings up a ATI Drivers box the says Do you wish to continue? Yes or No buttons.

Is this normal and did the driver install? Or is there something that I'm missing. I've checked the .Net and it is installed.

Thanks for any help in this matter.

-Gene

as the error kinda gives it away, have you checked that directX is installed?
DirectX has nothing to do with .net btw.
maybe it needs to be reinstalled, visit Microsoft.com/directx for a download.
Hope that helps

DirectX installed...

I check first to see if it was and indeed it was. I re-installed it just to make sure from the Microsoft site and still get the error. It's a box that looks just like the error when the catalyst is installed before running the tool where it gives you the inf not found error.

Thanks,
Gene
